Tree nursery Bogaert is a family business founded in 1967 and has a long tradition and expertise in breeding plants, shrubs and trees. With regards to the company's expansion and/or busy season: we are always interested in the helping hands and green thumbs of a new colleague who shares the love for garden landscaping and nursing trees.

Function description

Your responsibilities include followings tasks: 

• Pruning  and planting of plants,shrubs and trees
• Handle our extensive machineries and vehicles
• inoculating/grafting,seeding, ...
• preparing orders during winter months 

Your tasks and responsibilities are always negotiable 

Profile

• You've got green thumbs and love working with plants outside ( weather not an issue)
• You've got the know-how when it comes down to plantknowledge (through degrees, interest or experience) 
• With a basic understanding you can be taught on the jobs (on-the-job-training) with no competencies there is little room for teaching everything.
• You are flexible and want to assist during high season.
• You are able to express yourself fluently in Dutch or make yourself clear to Dutch speaking colleagues to enjoy a pleasurable atmosphere.

Job related skills

• Planting, sowing and vegetative propagation 
• Maintaining plants and plots (placing poles to fasten and support plants (binding), pruning branches and remove fallen leaves)
• Taking care of fruiting through removing/pruning excess buds/ leaves/branches
• Planting trees after preparation of the soil (felling, grafting, tying ,...)
• Preparing planting stock and apply needed care
• Putting/placing protective material (anti-hail-netting, frost protection installation, fencing, irrigation systems,....)
• Preventive or corrective basic maintenance of equipment/machinery

Job offer

• You'll be part of 'the family' (6 employees)

• You can start working from 8am-5pm these hours may shift due to seasonal changes and high or low peaks.
• A 40 hour workweek (resulting in an extra 12 days time off a year)
